“This year brings something new to the table. For SF Sprints 3 the race will take place during the afternoon instead of the night, this is for two reasons: 1) It’s a whole hell of a lot less cold during the day and 2) It’s a whole hell of a lot easier to take pictures during the day.

The biggest of the changes has to do with how things will run on race day. This year everyone races by themselves until the very last, champion deciding race. Each racer gets two heats where they’ll race against the clock, the fastest of their two times is then used as their only time. The two racers who have the fastest runs will go head to head leaving just one winner.”

“The TFTC – Criterium wraps up a weekend of riveting competition the following day. An unsanctioned race held in the night, the fixed gear criterium covers an undisclosed race distance, over multiple laps of an undisclosed technical circuit, the veil of secrecy adds to its appeal in the underground sub-culture of fixed gear events.

A field of cycling enthusiasts featuring; professionals, amateurs, messengers, and urban cyclists from the region and as far a field as Australia and the United Kingdom. With only 40 slots for this year, there will not be any reservation of slots, entry submissions are on a first come first served, whilst slots lasts basis.”

“Founded in 2008, RnR is the union of personalities from different backgrounds inspired by both the world of skateboarding and 80’s by Marcel Duchamp, the world of Hell’s Angels or the career of Bernard Hinault.

In 2009, after organizing a series of wild disguise wrinkles, film screenings, of Rolla contests, they decide to embark on a new project: “RocknRollin Classics” that will attempt to revisit the classics of cycling but a fixed gear.

Parties on the road for more than 260kms in hostile terrain (53kms of pavement), unprepared, with inadequate bike, everyone will have to adjust to another so that the group survives to the end.

“The Red Hook Criterium (RHC) is an unsanctioned race held at night featuring a fixed gear criterium and a 5km running race held over multiple laps of a short technical circuit. The field consists of elite athletes, track stars, amateur runners, professional cyclists, bike messengers, and urban cyclists. The RHC was born in the post-industrial Brooklyn neighborhood Red Hook.

This unique event combines the underground art of street racing with the intensity of high level competition in a spectacular urban environment.

First held in 2008 to celebrate organizer David Trimble’s birthday, the RHC has established itself as a prestigious and much loved event in both the local community and greater athletic world. This fast, intense, and spectator friendly race is the pinnacle of a weekend of events that includes dinners, art exhibitions, parties, and group bicycle rides and runs.”
