“Fixed Soldiers born in 2009 as a group of friends and fans of fixed gear bikes and having CREAM Bikes & Things fixed gear shop as a weekly meeting point.

CREAM Bikes & Things began organizing weekly bike rides for this group of friends, work schedules these are mostly nocturnal. Word of mouth does the rest and more and more cyclists join us, and was then when born Fixed Soldiers Nights.

“In 2007 one of the founding members of Enciclika Jordi Tamayo went to a trip to Japan. There he saw a type of bicycle that has no brakes, fell in love with them and then forgot.

One year later in a conversation with Cristian Marin (member of Enciclika) they decided it was time to leave the BMX (…) We needed a fast urban bike. Then Jordi remembered his trip to Japan…

In October 2008 decided to create Corpus Fixie, a blog devoted entirely to fixed in Spanish (guess it was the first). It was so successful that a year and a half later inaugurated the Enciclika.com website, leaving the blog as the news section and devoting much of our time to promote the beauty of this small parcel called fixed-gear cycling.”

“TheFiXFiXFIX was started as a photography project of a bicycle building enthusiast and budding photographer. After getting over 1,000,000 views on our Flickr page and tons of positive feedback, we’ve decided to put together this site as a better way to get you our photos while looking to build contacts with other cyclists, enthusiasts, blogs, bicycle shops, and manufacturers.
